英语的静态句和动态句
（英语笔记之六）
1.
英语中的简单句可以分成两大类：
a）静态句：主体属于某一类型，具有某种性质，或者处于某种状态。句中的动词通常是系动词或助动词。
【例句】I am a student.
b）动态句：主体在进行某一种动作。句中的动词通常是实义动词。
【例句】The mother patted the baby.
2.
同一句意思，可以用静态句表示，也可以用动态句表示。
【例句】 He is a worker in that factory.（静态句）
【例句】 He works in that factory.（动态句）
3.
英语更喜欢把动态事件当作静态事件来反映。
【例句】 The camellias were in bloom. 山茶花正在开放。
【例句】 The old life was at an end.
【例句】 I'm in great trouble.
【例句】 She is in a talkative mood today.
【例句】 Was she ever out of temper?
【例句】 I was under the impression that your sister was a doctor.
4.
所有的动态句都可以转变为静态句的形式。
【原句】 He described to us his bitter life.
【主语转为表语】 This is he who described to us his bitter life.
【谓语转为表语】 That was his description to us of his bitter life.
【直接宾语转为表语】 Such was his bitter life he described to us.
【间接宾语转为表语】 It was to us that the he described his bitter life.
