some censorship is a good thing.But I would be extremely angry if my government tried to hack into my email account.That's terrible.

Something might be wrong. But please do not believe that U.S. government is an angel, while Chinese government is the evil. Why you are so sure that your internet content has not been censored and that the big brother did not keep an eye on you from your back? Please. There are some many things both American & Chinese do not know.
So what I am saying is that both your lord and ours have already dictate what kind of behavior could be accepted and what should be punished. Probably these two kinds of behavior are quite different in details, they are same at all.
