最符合我的观点的一篇评论了。
果然MPEG-LA已经把H.264免费的大限延长到2015年，但谁都不知道之后会怎么办。如果开源视频格式占据优势的话，或许H.264会迫于竞争永远免费下去。
我想这张争论本身暴露了软件专利制度的荒谬，H.264也有开源的编码器（x264）和解码器（ffmpeg），但使用它们却依然需要向MPEG-LA交保护费，而且并不一定可以得到完全的保护（MPEG-LA也承认，视频编码可能会涉及到未知的专利）。
