China and Japan’s Demographic Trend

In 1995, Japan reached its working-age population peak.

In 2015, China will also reach the peak.

China’s peak is 20 years after Japan’s, but the life of aging people in China will be tougher than those in Japan. Because “the harsh reality is this: Japan got rich before it grew old, and China will grow old before it gets rich.”
