微软发布了图书搜索Live Search Books，作为Google图书搜索的竞争对手，开始在美国进行测试，或是beta。现在所拥有的数字文档主要来自于不列颠图书馆，剑桥大学，多伦多大学的馆藏书籍，在2007年1月还会添加其它三个公共机构的图书。现在提供的书当然是无版权的，但在未来也会加入受版权保护的书籍，除此之外，在这个项目中包含了一个Publisher Program，出版商被允许自行添加信息。
Microsoft is releasing its Live Search Books, a rival to Google's Book Search, in test, or beta, version in the US. The digital archive will include books from the collections of the British Library, the University of California and the University of Toronto. Books from three other institutions will be added in January 2007. All the books currently included in the project will be non-copyrighted but later it will also add copyrighted work that publishers have given permission to include in the project.
