1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

这段话就是著名的“道成肉身”，是耶稣为神的使者的直接证明，是基督教的教义基石之一。

我不谈它的宗教含义，只看“道成肉身”的英文是“Word was made flesh”，也就是说“道”对应的英文单词是word。我们完全可以把这个词看作是“话语”的意思。简单的理解是，什么叫肉身？肉身就是你想说的话！

你的话，你的想法，构成了你的生命！这就叫“道成肉身”。

如果生命中没有想法，没有自己的话语，那么你的肉身跟动物、跟其他的芸芸众生，又有什么区别呢？来到这个世界上，并不只是为了成为一具肉身，而是为了说出包含在你内心、等待你说出的那些话语。

就像上面的引文里说的：“生命在他里头。这生命就是人的光。光照在黑暗里……那光是真光，照亮一切生在世上的人。”（In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness;... That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.）

那些你心中的话就是你的生命，而这样的生命就是世上的光。
